This island is a scene in top classical Thai novel – Pra Apai Manee, therefore it is well known island for Thai people.                                                        Samet Island lies along North to South. North side is seaport and cliff for sightseeing. Most of beautiful sands and beaches are on East side. The Sai Kaew Beach is very popular to travelers. Sands on beach shining bright white light among sun stream look like glasses, that is why it’s name is Sai Kaew – sands like glasses. Other beaches on East are calm and peaceful. On South side, it has a tiny island. On top area of West side, there is a bay – Plao that has luxurious resorts and it is more privacy.

Getting There :
Get on bus from Bangkok to Ban Pe in Rayong Province and there is a ferry from Ban Pe to Samet within 25 minutes. Most of resorts are in Eeast side that travelers can stay and spend their holidays with beautiful white sands.
