Patong beach is the most wellkown place in Phuket island. The beach lying from the north to the south along the south-western coast of the island for 4 kms. between Kamala beach and Karon bay. It is surrounded by green mountains at the north, east and south. At the west, it has clear emerald sea and white sandy beach. The ray of sun touching the sea and sands, it turns everything brightened and becomes beautiful beach on sunshine.   

Sunshine Scene:
A good time to travel Patong beach is on Summer season from March to May. There are many activies at Patong beach for travelers: swimming, diving, sun bathing and various water sports. While the sun beam is shading, its colour is changed to the golden. This is the highlight of sunshine scene at Patong beach. 

Getting There:
The beach is 15 kms. from Phuket city and Phuket province is far 862 kms. at the south of Bankok. By bus, there are both of non-air and air-conditioned buses from Bangkok to Phuket and taking on small mini buses (Song-thaew) from fresh market to the beach or using taxi. By train, passengers have to drop at Punpin station in Surathani province and connecting with buses to Phuket province. By air, there are daily Bangkok – Phuket flights and connecting wih taxi or buses. It is 40 kms. from the airport to the beach.

There are many styles and levels of hotels for travelers. Not only hotels but the shopping malls, restuarants and entertainment centers are aslo available at this beach.
